Assignment of DOI in publications

From now on, Pimenta Cultural will assign DOIs to digital book chapters through the world’s largest association of publishers and institutions, Crossref.

What is DOI?

DOI stands for Digital Object Identifier, which means Digital Object Identifier.
It is a standard for identifying documents in digital networks.

What is the importance of publishing with DOI?

  • The DOI makes the published text traceable by search tools;
  • Creates an individual identification of the article, it is the personal identity of your text;
  • The article will be referenced by the number sequence and even if the location of your article changes, it will be located forever, that is, the DOI does not change;
  • When typing the DOI of an article on the web, the text is accessed directly, without the need for other information;
  • Inserting the DOI in the Lattes Curriculum automatically generates a direct link to the published article.

It is possible to assign DOIs to various publications:
such as books, book chapters, periodicals, articles, event proceedings, etc.

Now, the dissemination of publications on the internet has become easier, more modern, and simplified.

ISBN

Pimenta Cultural’s works are published in both digital and print formats. A different ISBN (eBook or print) is registered by the Brazilian Book Chamber for each format.

Cataloging cards are prepared by a professional duly registered with the Brazilian Federal Council of Librarianship (CFB).

As you can see, it is important. So now, check out our publishing options: calls for proposals, organized books or independent books. We adapt the plan that best fits your needs.

We work with digital and print books on a large and small scale.

Cataloging Card

We prepare the Cataloging Card for works with qualified librarians. The card is the identity of the work, containing important information for the best possible cataloging of the works with libraries and other institutions. Standard structures defined by international conventions are used. The main objective is to facilitate the identification of authorship, title, content, theme of the work, as well as other national and international registration codes.
